Arlington County Seeks Public Input on Ranked Choice Voting Experience

Arlington County is gathering community input on its historic use of ranked choice voting (RCV) in the 2024 County Board race, the first use of RCV in a general election in Virginia.

Arlington residents can share their perspective through November 19 via an online survey. The survey takes 3-5 minutes to complete and will inform the Board's decisions about future ranked choice implementation.

Following a successful ranked choice pilot in 2023, the Board voted to use RCV in all subsequent County Board primaries and the current general election.
